Chapter 1

Bethany, her mom, and her pascal were driving hours and hours across foreign states all of a sudden her dad stops at a house. Her dad gets out and walk of lifes up to the house and starts to prattle to a lady. When he returns, he grabs Bethanys bags and tells Bethany that she is staying there for now.

Chapter 2

As Bethany is sitting inside the house not knowing who she is with or where she is Myrlie starts to talk to her. Bethany fates to cal her dad but when she calls it says the phone is out of service. plain when she tries her mothers and her own phone it says that they are out of service and her military chaplain didnt leave any numbers to be reached on.

Chapter 3

Myrlie shows Bethany where her means is and then she tucks Bethany into bed. While she is lying in bed she is intellection about how she was surprised by how she was just dropped off at a strangers house and that her parents didnt purge hire a babysitter when she was little. She sat lying in bed wondering why her parents were doing this to her.

Chapter 4

In the morning Bethany and Myrlie excite a conversation during breakfast. Then the phone rings. Myrlie goes to answer it and its Bethanys dad. Bethany talks to her dad on the phone and then her dad says he needs to talk to Myrlie.



Myrlie tells Bethany to go get in the shower while she is on the phone so; Bethany starts to walk upstairs but goes back downstairs and listens to the conversation on the phone from the other side of the kitchen door.

Chapter 5

Bethany can hear Myrlie talk of the town to her father but she can only hear what Myrlie says. When Myrlie hangs up the phone Bethany sprints up the stair and into the bathroom. She turns the shower on as she is wondering who Elizabeth is.

Chapter 6
