In Response To McCloskey
In February 1968, H. J. McCloskey published an article empower On Being an Atheist.  It is a work designed to pose atheists exactly why they are what they are.  As a nibble of literature, it is well written and his pourboires are articulated well.  However, philosophy is not the opinions of one man or group, exclusively an exchange of ideas that washbowl help people come to a better reason of their beliefs.  McCloskey challenged everything I believe as a Christian, and did so in such a way as to appear that in that location should be no doubt that his argument is the correct one.  As with all debates, however, there is more than one side, and I am going to present my arguments as rebuttals for McCloskey.

According to McCloskey, We cant enounce that there is a necessarily existing cosmos that is the cause of the universe.  in that location are a few issues with this idea.  First, to adduce that an uncaused cause would not exist would be faulty.  If you are to look at the universe and say that there was no cause, it just is and always has been, then you are making the point of an uncaused cause.  If the universe just is and always has been, then to say that there cannot be a necessarily existing beingness would contradict this statement.
