Hershey currently has a very level-headed diversity program. Hershey has redesigned its performance management system appealing to the jr. generations eagerness for challenge, autonomy, and results, the redesign was a bottom-up effort, in which muckle throughout the company set goals and track progress on projects. The system measures not only business results but whether they are achieved in accordance with the Hersheys four core set. They essential continue to enforce the importance of their values and mission. In request to achieve this objective they must create an awareness melt down by educating the men through the use of the company intranet, publicize boards and other literature.
Periodic town hall meetings would also serve with getting the importance of the diversity program out to the workforce. Also, soliciting feedback from the workforce as this will give the employees a feeling of inclusion. command and training the workforce on diversity issues will attend the redesign of the performance management systems success as well as increasing awareness and the importance of diversity inwardly the organization. Training offers employees the skills to accomplish their jobs in a more sound and efficient way as well as the pretend to accept greater responsibility. Training also gives an organization the talent of cross training employees in different skills and roles.
