Group Assignment Guidelines: Group Management Report


You exit be on the job(p) in a group of 4-6 students and will be given the option of whether you wish to organise yourselves or be placed randomly into a group. Your group will be required to select an organisation with which you are familiar (for example, cardinal you have worked for, had an internship in, belongs to your family/friend, or one and only(a) you have been able to become detailed information about on the internet).

Based upon the soma content and your own reading, (and personal experiences, where relevant) produce a deal critically evaluating the organisations structure, culture, and management/leadership style. Also, ground on your analysis, briefly identify priority areas for future improvements.





For this appointment, you will need to:
Select a suitable organisation one from which you can access relevant OB information
Briefly acquaint the organisation
Explain the organisations overall structure
Analyse the organisational culture(s)
critically evaluate its approaches to management and leadership
Based on your analysis, identify each areas that could be improved


A high quality group assignment will involve:

Meeting the terms of reference
Excellent introduction and layout (style and structure)
The capacity to effectively research an organisation and its people management
The ability to analyse and provide explanations, linking to relevant literature
Demonstrating an overall grasp and misgiving of the OB literature

as this module will involve working in assignment groups:

Group composition may be nonionic by students or the module leader (recruitment & endurance!).


Selection of organisation and allocation of tasks will be organised by students (motivation and job design!).
