The hijackers also crashed a third airliner into the Pentagon. The fourth plane crashed into a field near Shanksville in rural Somerset County, Pennsylvania, afterwards some of its passengers and flight crew were said to attempt to retaking control of the plane. 2,999 people were estimated as dead, and a massive 6, 291+ were considered injured. On this date, 9/11, I was 11 eld old in the 5th grade of grammar school. At that time I never went to New York before, but it to me is a massive metropolis with a lot of pride and tradition. The though of the actions that were taking on this twenty-four hour period by terrorists shoc ked me as a kid and changed my habitual opinion on how unsecured a huge city homogeneous New York is.
