According to a recent patronage journal, GM provide be summoning back 2,400 workers (“GM to bring,” 2009). It seems as though GM is currently in the assist of retooling many of their factories in order to begin production on new products (“GM to bring,” 2009). For example, they have appointed their Fairfax, Kan., manufacturing plant to stimulate the first U.S plant to produce small cars for the North American market as of 2011(“GM to bring,” 2009). So, is the tide truly beginning to change for GM?
With this latest report one would believe that the company is qualification great strides forward in hopes of recovering from their past losses. The fact that GM has to increase production shifts (supply) in order to agree up with demand is very promising for the company’s future. Of course, this also comes as good news for the 2,400 people who were idle and who are now able to increase their purchasing power, which in-turn will help to stimulate economic growth.
